Rubus tricolor - Chinese Bramble - 'Betty Ashburner' - €7 per plant
Chinese bramble provides excellent groundcover for difficult spots including banks and shady spots and this cultivar, ‘Betty Ashburner’ is said to be less vigorous than Rubus tricolour. It has lobed, wavy-edged, attractive glossy green leaves and once it is established will carpet banks, slopes and any bare ground, so are should be taken when selecting a site. It's not self fertile so will need to be grown in pairs to set fruit. It bears white flowers that are attractive to pollinators in the summer, followed by small red edible berries that have some Raspberry like qualities..To order this plant please contact us balkanecologyproject@gmail.com.
