A selection of cultivars that are high yielding with excellent taste  and virtually resistant to disease and pests.
Our plants are 2nd year grafted bare roots with an approximate height of 100 - 120cm (depending on cultivar)  

Malus pumila - "Karastoyanka"
  • Description: White, crispy, juicy, slightly sweet, sour, with a mild flavour.  Medium-large fruits with an average weight of 130-165g per fruit  
  • Fruiting Period: Ripening period: September 25 to October 5
  • Storage: Tolerate manipulation, transport and prolonged storage. Store the end of March, refrigerated to May.
  • Pollination: Pollinated by Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Aivanna and Granny Smith  
  • Disease Resistance: Susceptible to scab and blood louse less to powdery mildew. 
  • Tree Vigour: The trees are grow moderately fast have form flat wide crown.
  • Fruit Bearing: Spur-bearer

Malus pumila - "Liberty"
  • Description: 
  • Fruiting Period: 1-20 September  
  • Storage: Can be stored under refrigeration until March
  • Pollination: Pollinated by Granny Smith and white blossom crab apples 
  • Disease Resistance: Resistant to apple scab, cedar apple rust, fire blight, and powdery mildew.
  • Tree Vigour: Moderate
  • Fruit Bearing: Spur-bearer

Malus pumila - "Red Delicious"
  • Description: Conical fruits with a broad-base with medium thick shiny skin and yellow, crunchy, juicy, aromatic flesh. One of the most widely grown apples particularly popular in North America.
  • Fruiting Period: 5 -15 Sep
  • Storage: Excellent keeping qualities but tending to lose both texture and flavour in storage.  
  • Pollination: Pollinated by Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Aivanna, Karastoyanka, Granny Smith
  • Disease Resistance: Resistant to powdery mildew Susceptible to scab
  • Tree Vigour: Moderate
  • Fruit Bearing: Spur-bearer

Malus pumila - "Aivanna"
  • Description: Old Bulgarian variety. The fruit is medium coarse. Skin - thin, strong, greasy, the green and yellow with pinkish-red blush. Meat - white, crisp, juicy and sweet. Fruitfulness is abundant, but tends to alternate fruiting.
  • Fruiting Period: 25 Sep - 5 Oct
  • Storage: Tolerates handling and transportation and stores well
  • Pollination: Pollinated by Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Karastoyanka and Granny Smith   
  • Disease Resistance: Highly susceptible to scab Good resistance to powdery mildew.
  • Tree Vigour: Moderate
  • Fruit Bearing: Spur-bearer

Malus pumila - "Golden Delicious"
  • Description: Medium sized, round-conical to oblong fruit. Greenish yellow skin ripening to golden yellow. Occasional russet patches. Cream coloured flesh. Crisp and juicy, with a very sweet refreshing taste when first picked. The most widely grown apple throughout the world. Requires a warm location to achieve full sweetness.

  • Storage: Store well in refrigerator, root cellar or basement
  • Pollination: Pollinated by Red Delicious, Aivanna, Karastoyanka, Granny Smith
