Campsis radicans - Trumpet vine - €10 per plant

Turmpet Vine is a beautiful climbing plant from the US grown primarily in gardens for it's ornamental value. Although from a warm region of the US the plant is very hardy tolerating lows for -20. Requiring full sun to flower well , given a sunny spot with no vertical support, the plant can also be used for ground cover.  Honey bees forage in large numbers for the nectar within the flowers along with other pollinating insects. Needs, tolerances 

  • Light: Light shade - Full Sun
  • soil pH: Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils.
  • USDA Hardiness Zone: 4 - 10
  • Needs a support structure upon which to grow unless grown as a ground cover.
  • Plants are very tolerant of trimming and can be cut right back to within 1m  of the base and will grow back well.

  • Can be grown as a ground cover plant in a sunny position. Plants should be spaced about 2.5 metres apart each way.
